ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
-Additional authorized operators can be added, for an additional charge, at the time of rental or at any rental location. The primary renter and each Additional Authorized Operator must be present to sign the rental agreement and must meet normal rental qualifications, such as showing a valid driver license, and meeting all age requirements.
AGE
AGE REQUIREMENT- Must be 18 years or older to rent a vehicle. Certain restrictions apply. -
THE FOLLOWING APPLIES TO LOCAL RENTERS WITH A DRIVERS LICENSE FROM THE STATE IN WHICH THEY ARE RENTING IN AND DO NOT HAVE A RETURN FLIGHT ITINERARY AND/OR IS NOT ON MILITARY LEAVE
-RENTERS AGE 21 - 24- Renters will be required to pay an underage fee. With a Major Credit Card: If the renter does not have their own coverage, it is mandatory that the customer purchase CDW. Renter must provide a deposit (in the form of the credit card authorization) of $200 or 30% of the estimated rental cost, plus the estimated rental cost, at the time of pickup.
With a Debit Card:
A local renter MUST provide proof of insurance when paying with a debit card. If the agent is unable to verify proof when calling the insurance company, the rental transaction will be declined. CDW is not an option. Renter must provide a deposit (in the form of the credit card authorization) of $200 or 30% of the estimated rental cost, plus the estimated rental cost, at the time of pickup.
AIRPORT PICKUP
PICKUP INFORMATION- The shuttle runs 24 hours/day. Pick up area for the shuttle is located outside of the baggage claim area in the ground transportation pickup area. Please call the location directly at (813) 287-9787 for more shuttle pickup information.
CANCELLATION
CANCELLATION POLICY-
No Show Reservations are automatically cancelled after 2 hours of expected arrival time during the off-season. Reservations are automatically cancelled after 1 hour of expected arrival time during peak-seasons.
-CREDIT CARD REQUIRED RESERVATIONS-
Certain sites require a Credit Card to Guarantee the reservation. If this should occur, you are subject to a one days rental charge for reservations not cancelled 24 hours in advance.
-PREPAID CANCELLATION POLICY- When you select a Pay Now option, the following will apply. Reservations will be honored for the entire day in which the rental is scheduled to be picked up. A cancellation fee will apply to prepaid reservations that are cancelled. The cancellation fee will be $50.
CDW
ACCEPTING COVERAGE- Coverage accepted at the time of pick up cannot be removed from the rental agreement unless the renter returns to the rental counter, has the vehicle checked by the car rental staff and signs for the coverage to be removed.
-CDW-
CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) is not insurance. This coverage eliminates the renter and/or any authorized drivers financial responsibility if the vehicle is involved in an accident as long as the terms and conditions of the rental agreement have not been violated. If the terms and conditions are violated, CDW is void and the renter is fully responsible for all costs associated with the repair of the rental vehicle and or any other related fees. If you decline CDW, you may be responsible for up to the full market value of the car in the event of an accident. If involved in an accident, you must contact your insurance company and obtain a claim number. CDW does not cover any third party`s or unauthorized drivers.Theft, glass, tires, acts of God, and fees associated with the collection of the damages are not covered. If the rental vehicle is damaged or you are involved in an accident/incident, you must contact the local Police Department and obtain an accident report. Failure to obtain an accident report will void CDW. CDW does not have a deductible. CDW cannot be purchased by underage renters, local renters, and those paying up front with debit cards. These renters must provide proof of full coverage insurance to rent a vehicle.
-OTHER INSURANCE/CREDIT CARD COVERAGE-
Several online travel sites and Credit Cards offer their own version of CDW and/or Liability Coverage. If you choose to select one of these products, please bring confirmation or proof of coverage to show at the counter. Please note that purchase of these products does not relieve you from primary responsibility of damage to the vehicle or any liability incurred. Any valid claims that are refused by the Insurance carrier will be your responsibility.
-DECLINING COVERAGE-
The renter will be solely responsible for the vehicle itself and any third party claims made against it. Please check with your insurance agent for more information regarding your states coverage requirements and how they compare with the state that you are traveling in. Please obtain proof from your credit card company if CDW is included on your credit card.
DRIVERS LICENSE
DRIVER LICENSE REQUIREMENTS- The renter must have in his/her immediate possession a valid and current driver license issued by his/her respective department of motor vehicles. In order for the license to be valid it must align with the following requirements- The license must not be expired. The license must match the renter who is renting the vehicle. If the license uses a P.O. Box as an address, a physical address must be supplied upon renting the vehicle. The name on the driver license must match the name on the credit card being used.

EQUIPMENT
Child Seats Infant (CSI) The infant seats are for infants from 5 to 20 pounds up to 26 inches long. The renter will be provided with the manufacturers installation instructions at the counter so he/she can correctly install the seat. Infant seats are available for back seat use only.Child Seat Toddler (CST) Toddler seats are for children weighing from 20 to 40 pounds up to 40 inches tall. The renter will be provided with the manufacturers installation instructions at the counter so he/she can correctly install the seat. Toddler seats are available for back seat use only.
Hand Control Right (HCR) /Hand Control Left (HCL)
- A device that attaches to the brake and gas pedal is available for handicapped drivers. This allows a person to drive the vehicle without using legs. It is available at no additional cost. Equipment must be reserved through the pick up location with 5 days advance notice. If advance notice is not given, equipment may be unavailable. Renters must bring their own parking permit as Advantage does not provide handicapped ID cards or car stickers. Although Advantage is able to provide hand controls on a wide variety of our rental cars, they cannot be installed on every make or model or class of car. Advantage makes every effort to provide our physically disabled customers with the vehicle of their choice, however we cannot confirm a particular make or model.
Ski Rack/Snow Tires (SKV) - Ski equipped vehicles are available at select locations. This includes mud/all weather tires and ski racks. **CHAINS ARE NOT AVAILABLE**
GPS Travel Tablet (MTECH) - Portable GPS Plus systems are available at many locations.
GAS
Three refueling options are available to meet your needs.1) FUEL NOW
- you may purchase a tank of gas at the time of rental and return the vehicle with as little gas as you like. Please be aware that we are unable to issue a refund for unused fuel. However, this method eliminates the need for you to refuel the tank prior to returning.
2) FUEL LATER - You can let us refuel for you. You pay for the fuel required to replace the fuel you used and for the service and convenience of refueling the tank.
3) SELF SERVE -You refuel the tank yourself immediately prior to returning the vehicle. Pricing for each option varies and is available at the rental counter.
GEOGRAPHIC
Geographical Limitations- The rental vehicle cannot be driven out of Florida unless it is specifically allowed by the rental location Mileage Cap Local Renters are subject to a mileage cap of 150 free miles per day and $0.39 / mile above this amount, totaling over the entire rental period
HOLIDAY

HONOR RESERVATIONS

INSURANCE
-Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) is available for an additional daily charge for each rental day. Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) is a secondary insurance product that picks up where primary liability (state statutory limits) leaves off. When combined with primary liability coverage, SLI provides the renter and any authorized driver up to $1,000,000 of liability protection for third party claims due to bodily injury or property damage. In order for SLI to pay on a claim, however, the state statutory limits must first at least be satisfied. The policy will respond only after all other available insurance has been exhausted.
-OTHER INSURANCE/CREDIT CARD COVERAGE-

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) coverage is available in combination with Personal Effects Coverage (PEC) for an additional daily charge for each rental day. PAI coverage: Benefit Schedule Renter/Each Passenger Accidental Death USD 250,000.00 / USD 100,000.00 Accidental Medical Expenses (reimbursed) not to exceed USD 2,500.00 Ambulance Expenses not to exceed USD 500.00. Total benefits for any one accident are limited to USD 458,000.00 and are payable in addition to any other coverage for which you, authorized drivers or your passengers are eligible. However, your benefits provided by other coverage may be affected by the PAI benefits. If this coverage is accepted, the benefits for you apply to all accidental injuries during your rental period, regardless of whether you are actually in the car.Your passengers are also covered, but only for incidents occurring while they occupy the Advantage rental car.
Personal Effects Coverage (PEC) offered in combination with PAI, is an option that insures against risk of theft or damage to help protect your personal belongings while renting from Advantage. The maximum coverage per person is USD 750.00 with the maximum total benefit for any one occurrence, regardless of the number of persons, being USD 2,000.00. There is no deductible for PEC.
Please note that PAI and PEC are not available separately and must be taken in combination.

LOCAL RENTERS
LOCAL RENTERSA renter who has a drivers license issued from the state that they are renting, the following policies apply. (Exceptions to the above definition of local renters could be, but not necessarily limited to, renters with return airline tickets or on military leave). Local Renters are subject to a mileage cap of 150 free miles per day and $0.39 per mile above this amount over the entire rental period. Renters cannot leave the state with the vehicle unless specified by the location manager. If they leave the state they rent from they will then be charge $0.39 per mile for all accrued miles. Local renters cannot rent specialty vehicles, including luxury, premium, convertible, SUV and other classes.
RENTERS AGE 25 or OLDER
With a Major Credit Card
- No proof of coverage is required. If the renter does not have their own coverage, it is mandatory that the customer purchase CDW. Renter must provide a deposit (in the form of the credit card authorization) of $200 or 30% of the estimated rental cost, plus the estimated rental cost at the time of pickup.
-With a Debit Card- A local renter MUST provide proof of insurance when paying with a debit card. If the agent is unable to verify proof when calling the insurance company, the rental transaction will be declined. CDW is not an option. Renter must provide a deposit (in the form of the credit card authorization) of $200 or 30% of the estimated rental cost, plus the estimated rental cost, at the time of pickup. -

OTHER
--PET POLICY-
: Pets are allowed to ride in the vehicles with no additional fees. Renters are responsible for any damage caused by the pet, and to avoid cleaning charges, vehicles should be returned clean and free of pet hair. Renters with service animals will not be subject to any additional deposits.
PAYMENT
-The following forms of payment are accepted: most major credit/charge cards, and most debit cards. Cash is an acceptable form of payment at time of return at most locations, not at time of rental. Acceptable charge cards include American Express / MasterCard /Discover / Visa / BankAmericard / Optima Amex. Credit cards must have the available credit for the estimated amount of rental charges plus up to $200 in order to secure the rental. Debit/check cards must have the available funds of the estimated amount of rental charges plus up to $350 in order to secure the rental. Eligible debit cards must have Visa, MasterCard or Discover logo. Stored value/prepaid/gift cards are not acceptable to qualify for rental however these cards may be used for payment at return.
Please note that at the time of rental you will need to present 1) a current driver license and 2) a valid credit or charge card in the renters name. Use of a debit card to rent a vehicle is subject to review of your credit history at the time of your rental. (Note: A confirmation of your reservation does not mean that your debit/check card is acceptable).
Debit cards should not be used to pay for Pay Now reservations.
NOTE: Refunds of your deposit or any other funds owed to you are posted upon close of your contract when you return the vehicle. However, depending on your financial institution, can take up to 21 days to process.
PICKUP/DROP
DROP FEE- This fee is assessed for renting a vehicle at one of our rental locations and returning it to a different rental location. The cost of this fee varies depending on the year.
PREPAID RESERVATIONS
-A Pay Now option for your rental may be offered. Pay Now allows you to receive a discounted price when you pay for the rental at the time of reservation. Pay Now reservations cannot be modified. If you cancel a Pay Now reservation prior to 24 hours before the pick-up time, you will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee. If a Pay Now reservation is cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the pick-up time, you forfeit the entire amount of the reservation.
Special consideration should be given when using a debit card to pay for Pay Now reservations as it can take up to 21 business days for your financial institution to process refunds. Debit card use also requires a credit check and can result in a denial of the rental.
We are now accepting Pay Now reservations made by a third party (Payer) on behalf of a renter (Renter). These rentals are subject to special policies included in the Pay Now Terms and Conditions.
RULES
DOMESTIC RENTERSAny renter with a driver license issued in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico or are from a state outside of the state of rental with a return airline boarding pass or round trip airline itinerary, the following policies apply.
RENTERS AGE 25 and OLDER

Renters may only rent from the following vehicle car classes. Economy, Compact, Midsize, Fullsize and Minivan.
-RENTERS AGE 21-24- Renters will be required to pay an underage fee of $20 USD per day.
-With a Major Credit Card- Proof of insurance is not required and renters may accept or decline all coverage options available. Renter must provide a deposit (in the form of the credit card authorization) of $200 or 30% of the estimated rental cost, plus the estimated rental cost at the time of pickup.
-With a Debit Card- Proof of insurance is not required and renters may accept or decline all coverage options available. Renter must provide a deposit (in the form of the credit card authorization) of $200 or 30% of the estimated rental cost, plus the estimated rental cost, at the time of pickup. SHUTTLE
-Our shuttle`s are white with red and blue lettering that say E-Z Rent-a-Car. You must call for the shuttle as it is sent on demand only. 813.287.9787. When you call them for the shuttle they will inform you where you need to stand. They are located approximately 15 minutes from the airport.
SMOKING
SMOKING POLICY- We provide and implement a no smoking policy for all vehicles in the fleet. If the Vehicle is returned smelling of smoke from any source, you will be charged a smoke cleaning fee of up to $250 to remove the smoke odor.
